Summer Fun Days Are Here Again!

Bradford on Avon Town Council are pleased to announced that during the month of August the following Activity Days are being organised for families and children from 11am to 2pm in Victory Field:

Friday 4th August
Family Day
includes Inflatable Assault Course, Bouncy Castle with Basketball and Under 5s Games

Statement Following National Threat Level Raise To Critical

Statement from Assistant Chief Constable Kier Pritchard:

“The thoughts of everyone at Wiltshire Police remain with those affected following the horrific events in Manchester on Monday evening.

"Yesterday the decision was taken by the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) to raise the national threat level to "critical". This means that an attack remains highly likely but also that a further attack may be imminent.

Annual Town Meeting 22nd May 2017 - Mayor's Speech

Good evening, and welcome to the Annual Town Meeting where we will be reviewing the work of the Town Council over the last year.  I apologise for not being at the meeting, I am on a painting trip to Tuscany.

It has been a busy year for the Town Council, as usual.  I think during this year, Councillors and Town Council staff first became aware of the nature of changes that are scheduled to happen soon.  Wiltshire Council intends to pass many of the assets they hold within Wiltshire Towns to the ownership and management of local parish councils.

New trains are on their way!

Progress on the modernisation of the Great Western mainline from Great Western Railway.

Work to widen the platforms at Bath Spa has now been successfully completed and Network Rail have moved on to work on the track around Swindon and Chippenham.  This will affect rail services through Didcot Parkway, Swindon, Chippenham and Bristol Parkway over the late May bank holiday (27-29 May) and the weekend of 10 and 11 June.  Full details of the revised arrangements

Volunteer Day Back for the 3rd Year!

Bradford on Avon Town Council is once again providing a fantastic opportunity for local residents to join up with voluntary groups and charities, by inviting them to join in a promotional Volunteer Day at St Margaret’s Hall, Bradford on Avon on Saturday 3rd June between 12 noon and 3 pm.
